ABOUT OUR LEADERS
Our Scoutmaster, Ben Lenchner, has been involved with scouting for many years. He was a Bear Den Leader, then went on to be a Webelo's Leader for 2 years, in a local Cub Scout Pack. He followed his son into Boy Scouts where he served as an Assistant Scoutmaster for 1 year, before forming Troop 272. Ben Enjoys the great outdoors. He likes to fish and go camping. Jess Knight Jr., our Assistant Scoutmaster, has also been associated with scouting for many years. Jess is an Eagle scout and has been in different BSA programs on many of the military bases, throughout the world. He started out in Tigers with his son, and went on to be an assistant leader for 4 years, and an Assistant Cubmaster for 2 years. He helped in establishing Troop 272, in the Shores.
Glenn Madigan has been serving as a Committee Chairman for 7 years. He was involved in the running of a Cub Scout Pack and now, Troop 272. He oversees committee meetings, making sure the leaders have the proper training and that the Troop is running smoothly. During the month of August, Troop 272 will be busy collecting stuffed animals for the Local Police Dept. The police will use them to take to children who are victims of abuse or neglect. If your Troop, Pack or Patrol is interested in participating in this worthy cause, please e-mail us at the address below. The Drive ends on August 27th. Also in August, the Troop will be helping their Charter Organization; Immaculate Heart of Mary, with their Ice Cream Social. On August 22nd, the Boys will be helping to serve and clean up, and will also help in the games and activities planned for that day. Stop by and see us, we'll be there from 1:00 - 5:00pm.
