THE COLLECTORS GUIDE TO

Transformer Title

WELCOME TO THE HALL OF SHAME

Location: [Home] [Contents] [Hall of Shame]

Hello everyone! If you haven't guessed, this page is dedicated to making-fun-of and humili... I mean showcase some of the worst ideas Hasbro came up with for Transformers. Saddly enough, this travesty spans all the Transformer lines from Generation 1 to Beast Wars. I wouldn't doubt it if Beast Machines came up with a few "Bad Ideas".
Most of these figures make you want to laugh. Others, make you want to cry out, "This peice of junk doesn't deserve the name Transformers." Others just make you just wonder "What the ...?" With all that said and done, here they are!

INJECTOR

This has got to be the worst (not to mention most rediculous) fusion of two animals. I wonder what they were thinking when coming up with these combos. Now lets see... Lets start with a cool animal like a hornet and slap on a tropical fish head. I guess while we're at it, well include the entire fish body... BRILLIANT! With such a huge head I wonder if Injector gets off the ground at all. As if the beast mode wasn't bad enough, the robot mode is even worse. OK, his head is inside the mouth of the fish all being supported by an extreamly frail looking body. This is one figure with a very, VERY long shelf-life ahead of him.

WINDBREAKER

Just the name alone qualifies this guy to be in my Hall of Shame!

MACHNIE WARS
OPTIMUS PRIME

Thought you wouldn't see any Optimus Prime in a place like this among all the misfits. Well, guess again! Even Prime here isn't perfect. "Why is Prime in here", you might ask? Well lets see... Machine Wars was a failed attempt at bringing vehicle modes back into the Transformers toy line. Very few figures were made but among them was this Huffer looking Optimus wannabe. I mean, the picture on the box is already misleading because it shows a classic Prime face while the actual toy has a huminoid face complete with a mouth and a nose. ( What the F!#@? ) In my book, that is not Prime. I don't know what the hell it is, but it doesn't deserve the name Optimus Prime, although, it might pass as Huffer....hmmm.

THE JUMPSTARTERS
TOPSPIN & TWIN TWIST

The second series of Gen 1 Transformers introduced a lot of awsome Transformer groups such as the Triple Changers, the Constructicons, the Dinobots, and the Insecticons. One group, however, wasn't all too popular in this series. They are known as the Jumpstarters. OK, here is why they are pretty lame. First, the gimmick these guys had was that you pull them back, they automatically roll forward, and they Transform right to their feet. Amusing, for the first few times, but then reality hits. Suddenly you realize, these figures really suck, especially if the gimmick didn't work at all. The Transformation is simplistic as it gets. All you do is lay it on it's back and fold it's feet up to it's shoulders (Almost sounds like what we had to do in high school gym class).

GRIMLOCK

OK, I have nothing against either the original Grimlock or Dinobot, but to put them together in this re-paint is just unacceptable. I mean, the colors are white with black spots!? They made this guy look like a Dalmation for crying out loud! What is this, 101 Raptors?
