THE COLLECTORS GUIDE TO

Transformer Title

Toy Reviews

My fellow collectors, I present to you my personal reviews on the Transformers Toys. Due to the large number of Transformers out there, I'm only going to limit the reviews to my own personal collection. Choose a character from either Generation 1, Generation 2, or Beast Wars. Beast Machines and more reviews coming soon!

[Generation 1 Title]
[Autobot insignia]Generation 1[decepticon insignia]

Generation 1 was the line that introduced the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons to the U.S. Seemingly normal objects, cars, and planes transform into robot warriors. The first two years of this line was partialy constructed of die-cast metal parts to give the figures a more metallic and robotic feel. This line literally had armies of characters. Generation 1 had it's most memorable characters such as Prime, Bumblebee, Hotrod, Megatron, and Soundwave. Some characters were part of a smaller sub group such as the Dinobots, Insecticons, Head Masters, Target Masters, and Power Masters. Others were teams that joined together to form a larger robot such as the Constructicons, Arialbots, and Combaticons. What ever the case, Generation 1 started off a legend!

[Generation 2 Title]
[autobot insignia]Generation 2[decepticon insignia]

Generation 2 was an attempt to re-introduce and revitalize the original Transformer line. Some old characters from the original line returned for Generation 2, but with new colors, sounds, and/or action features. This line took advantage of every toy gimmick known at the time from missile-firing to water changing colors. Although Generation 2 brought back a lot of nostalgic feelings, this line only had moderate success.

[Beast Wars Logo]
[maximal insignia]Beast Wars: Transformers[predicon insignia]

In 1996, the Transformers made a comeback with the Beast Wars. This line has taken the Transformers in a totaly new direction. Now, Maximals ( the autobot decendents) and the Predicons ( the decepticon decendents) have assumed organic beast modes to hide their robotic forms. This line has the best articulation and transformations among all the Transformer lines. The Beast Wars had a lot of criticism in the beginning, but now have it's own following of fans. Later the line had developed sub groups which were equally impresive on their own. They are:
: a "fusion" of two beasts in one
: New vac-metalized forms plus a third vehicle mode
: A chaotic result of transmetal experimentation

[maximal insignia]Beast Machines: Transformers[vehicon insignia]

The Beast Wars are over, but the Transformers name still lives on in 2000 with the Beast Machines. Now back on Cybertron, The technorganic Maximals face a new threat in the form of Megatron and his army of mechanical Vehicons. This line brings back vehicle modes not seen since Machine Wars, but still incorporates the articulation and features the Beast War toys had. My fellow Trnasfans, welcome to the future of Transformers.
