Although this version of Waspinator doesn't show up in the T.V. series, it is nice to see a transmetal upgrade on poor old Waspinator. This version has green translucent green wings, gold chrome on the beast mode eyes, wings, and his big....fat....stripped.... butt! His basic color scheme is black and red ( some of my favorite colors ). Jet mode looks very flashy and is not too difficult to transform, however, ther is quite a significant amount of under carriage due mostly to the wasp legs being tucked under there. Dispite this, the jet mode look very nice with the translucent green color in the cockpit as well as the wings. Robot mode has a similar resemblence to his original look with the robot head looking insect like, the wasp head on his chest and the wings and thorax on his back. The wasp legs do tend to get in the way in this mode. His weapon also seems to be the only actual gun among all the Deluxe Transmetal line which is his stinger in beast mode. Waspinator has 15 points of articulation, not including the wings, and wasp legs. A very flashy peice! Highly recommended!

After the quantum surge, Waspinator became a meched-out, armored wasp with the abilty to change into a fighter-jet as well as a bio-genetically enhanced robot. His personality, however did not change much; he's still high tempered, aggressive and dangerous when angered. Only now Waspinator is fasters, armed witha toxic stinger and more driven in his mission to wipe out the Maximals forever!
