Lost the Instructions?
One of the biggest challenges when getting a Transformer is figuring out how to TRANSFORM it. If you got a new Transformer straight from the box or mannaged to find the original instructions you probably have no need of this entire section. If not, here are some of the most common problems that occur when attempting to transform a figure without the instructions. Lets start by going over a few basic things to keep in mind. (In many cases, this is where all the trouble begins.)
- Excessive force is not neccisary. You'll wind up breaking the figure if you pull something too hard.
- If this is the first time your transforming a figure, do it one step at a time. If not you'll wind up with a jumbled mess.
I have my Transformer in vehicle/beast mode, but I don't know where to begin to transform it.
- Take a good look at the Transformer. Study it from top to bottom. Look for hinges, levers, hooks, and/or joints. Most of these things are supposed to resemble a huminoid body so look for anything that resembles a body part(head, arms, hands, etc...). This should provide some clue to the transformation process. A good picture reference of the robot mode will also provide a clue. Start from top to bottom or bottom to top and try to find some transformation sequence.
I've gotten it transformed halfway but now a joint seems to be stuck.
- Keep in mind that excessive force is not necessary to transform these things. The're made so a child can figure it out, for godness sake! Try to return the joint back to it's original position then try to move it again. If that doesn't work, Go back and see if there is a step you overlooked before that joint even has to move. If that doesn't work, It may just be screwed on too tight. Use a small screw driver and loosen the screw just a bit and see it the joint moves more freely. If there is still a problem, chances are, it's not supposed to move at all.
I have it in robot mode. Now how do I return it to it's vehicle/beast mode?
- As the original instruction booklets stated "To return to vehicle/beast mode, follow the steps in reverse." Recall what you did when you first transformed the figure, then do the exact opposite.
I handled it too roughly and now something snapped off. What do I do now?
- Two words; Super Glue
