Purpose

ARTICLE I: NAME AND PURPOSE

Section 1. In order to improve, aid, and share a common interest in the sport of falconry, we do hereby associate ourselves as a non-profit fraternal organization, to be known as the MASSACHUSETTS FALCONRY AND HAWK TRUST.
Section 2. We further declare that our purpose is to provide communication among and to disseminate relevant information to interested members; to promote conservation of the birds of prey; to protect and improve laws governing falconry, on both the state and federal levels; to meet at appropriate times for good fellowship and the sharing of a common bond.
ARTICLE II: MEMBERSHIP
Section 1. Any falconer having a current Massachusetts falconry permit and holding a valid membership in the North American Falconers Association may be nominated for membership by any regular member of the MFHT. Baring an objection by any member, nominees shall become members 60 days after being nominated and upon being notified by the president or his designated officer. In the event an objection is lodged or question raised concerning membership worthiness by any member; the nominee shall be acted upon at the next business meeting following nomination, in accordance with the by-laws.
