Florida District
The Florida Flying Scot Disrtict is a branch of the Flying Scot Sailing Association (FSSA) which governes the class on a national level. The Florida district is goverened by Sail maker Charlie Fowler of Miami. Charlie and his wife Nancy produce a quarterley district bulletin called Scots n Florida.
The Flying Scot district series is raced throught out the year and consitst of 8 race series that is raced in differnet citys from year to year. They include: Jacksonville, Melbourne, Miami, Key Largo, Sarasota, Clearwater, Tampa, Mount Dora, and Eustis.

Fleet 36
Fleet # 36 is the newstest of the Florida Fleets. It is run by Ron Pletcsh a new Scot Sailor from the Sarasota Sailing Squadron. This Club is resonsible for many Hi calibre regattas through out the year.

Fleet 90
Fleet 90 is located at the Coconut Grove Sail Club in Coconut Grove, Florida. The Fleet is helmed by Andrea Stringos. Coconut Grove Sailing Club sponsors one of the largest regattas of the series.

Fleet 131
Fleet 131 is located in the vicinity of Jacksonville. The skipper of this fleet is Jon Hamilton. The Scots in this fleet race at the Jacksonville Rudder Club, located in Orange Park.

Fleet 150
Fleet 150 is located in Eustis, Fl. at the Eustis Sail Club. The Scots are very active at there own club and race year round. One of the larger events held is the Washington Birthday regatta held every Feb. This event brings sailors from all over the state. The fleet is captained by Charles Smith (407) 880-1476.

Fleet 168
Flying Scot Fleet 168 is organised and ran by Dr. Michael Roberts and is located in Clearwater, Florida. The Scots race with the Windjammers of Clearwater Sailing Club for there regular racing series. Racing is held year round with many of the local scot sailors travling to other areas in Florida to race as well.
