Yoga is a wonderful exercise during pregnancy. Prenatal yoga is a way to stretch and strengthen gently and safely. Yoga can help you feel more comfortable during your pregnancy and also prepare your body for giving birth. Yoga can also help you feel more centered and calm as you go through the many physical and emotional changes that pregnancy brings. You can read more about prenatal yoga by clicking here.
Yoga poses are also a great way to help regain muscle tone and strength after giving birth. Mothers bring their babies to my postnatal Mom & Baby yoga classes, so you can gently get back in shape with baby. And babies like yoga stretches, too! The Mom & Baby class is also a good place to meet other mothers of young babies and share ideas about parenting. I currently teach four prenatal classes and one Mom & Baby class each week. You do not need to have any prior yoga experience for either class.
