I had the pleasure of visiting the Southern Comfort for one day. (However, I have taken many "mini vacations" in my mind since that day, as I sit at work, close my eyes, and remember sitting on the deck with my wine.) The marina is an absolutely beautiful backdrop to this stunning boat. Pictures do no justice to how gorgeous (and huge) this boat is. As soon as you get on board, it is impossible to stress about anything.
Beware, because in one afternoon, you may become convinced (as I did) that you should quit your career, leave the office and live on a boat. It's the life! The warm breeze blows and you can sit and just watch the water and the other boats for hours. Stress just melts away. Bring a book and some wine and you will be in heaven!
They have thought of every little touch possible to make guests comfortable. The bedrooms are big, bright, and beautiful. The kitchen is very well equipped (but you won't want to use it, as you can enjoy a nice walk to beautiful Charleston for great resturants.) I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Husbands, your wife will never forget a suprise weekend on the boat! And I cannot imagine a better place I would want to stay for a "girl's weekend". Thanks, for my stay on my favorite new destination! written by: atlcap@comcast.net

We stayed aboard the Southern Comfort this past weekend. It was wonderful! They go out of their way to make sure every detail is taken care of to make our stay perfect. We had all the comforts of home and then some. I'd highly recommend the Southern Comfort to anyone who wants a relaxing and romantic weekend in Charleston! We will definitely be coming back! Thank you so much. written by: jena860@hotmail.com

What a beautiful and tranquil way to spend our 15th anniversary. Southern Comfort was such a different and completely enjoyable way to spend a night in Charleston and one I won't soon forget. The yacht is tastifully decorated with such attention to detail. The weather was perfect and we managed to see the sunset off the aft deck and the sunrise from the pilothouse. We have lived in this area for 15 years and will highly recommend this B&B. written by: sueellen10@comcast.net

We spent two nights on Southern Comfort April 21-22. I had spent one previous night at The Inn at Middleton Place and 3 nights at Charleston Place, perhaps two of the nicest accommodations one could hope for in Charleston. Southern Comfort was better than either of the above. The boat is beautifully decorated and meticulously maintained with comfortable furniture and beds, spacious surroudings, and a fully equipped full-sized kitchen (galley in boat speak) in which one could easily prepare a gourmet meal. I was not sure about the "breakfast" part but to insure privacy the owners had supplied the fridge with help-yourself OJ, milk, half and half, butter, mayo, mustard, bottled water, cream cheese and frozen sausage and biscuits. In addition there were bagels, muffins, assorted cereals, coffee and tea. The owners had even left a complimentary bottle of Chardonnay...nice touch. The marina scenery is spectacular (if you love water and boats) and the amenities are that of a five star hotel. It was the highlight of our week long visit to Charleston and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to do something a little different but still have all the creature comforts of home. I surprised my husband with Southern Comfort and he had a grin on his face for two hours after we arrived.
We found it difficult to leave the boat for sightseeing as we wanted to spend as much time as possible just relaxing and enjoying the views, especially from the top deck. We are anxiously anticipating a return visit as soon as possible. IT IS EXCELLENT!! written by: smacent@mindspring.com

We wanted to write you a letter to express our gratitude for all of your hard work, talent and expertise while conducting our wedding ceremony and reception. We were very pleased and pleasantly surprised with how well the events of the day progressed. We received huge compliments from most of our guests remarking about the flawless execution of the day’s events. You did a fabulous job with the ceremony with a unique talent of making both of us feel very comfortable as you coached us through our parts. The caterers prepared a scrumptious meal while maintaining perfect timing without ever being seen. The staff was in the exact right place at the exact right time throughout the day making sure that all the details were attended to allowing the day to flow better than we ever expected. We were very pleased with the professionalism in creating the photos. We are anxiously waiting to see how they turned out. The Captain gave us some great backdrops to allow for special pictures. The special touches of the wedding were very special. The wedding cake, the pink bows, the pink tablecloths, and the flower arrangements made the event perfect. The Southern Comfort is a fabulous yacht and we (and our on-board guests) enjoyed the lavish accommodations almost as much as we enjoyed the ceremony. We look forward to spending time aboard her again in the future. In closing, we want to thank you for making our already special day even more extraordinary. Your team of very professional people allowed this day to exceed our greatest expectations. Thanks for your every effort. written by: martnfan@aol.com

Hi: I was meaning to write you and tell you what a GREAT TIME Trish and I had on your boat. We'd like to use it as our "default" place to stay whenever we go to Charleston.
The only suggestion I can offer is that there was some confusion regarding the parking. The first night we were charged for parking. When we questioned the parking attendant, she suggested that we speak with the dock master. The dock master was very helpful and he wrote us a parking pass for the remainder of the stay. We didn't know if parking was included or not. We have already recommended you to many of our friends and will continue to do so!
Regards, Dave and Trish
