This Old Time/Celtic/ World Band will be the core of our Dance Band for Saturday night. It is our tradition at Shakin Down the Acorns to have our headline performers join us in the dance band and for other fellow musicians to come along side to play some great music for our dancers.

Up River - Dan Moorefield and Teresa Morrison (Click for web page) - In Rural America, just a few generations ago, those who could make music were held in high regard in the community. They were often called upon to liven the evenings on the front porch or by the fireplace and to play for the barn dance that was the long awaited social event of the community. We enjoy sharing these Appalachian Mt. tunes and Celtic tunes that are so good they have been handed from musician to musician for hundreds of years.
