In July, 2004, Homeland Children's Foundation was able to provide the children of the Changshu Orphanage with fifty brand new beds and mattresses which were sorely needed. Although we initially proposed a project to install infant cribs for this orphanage, the directors felt that the toddlers and older children had a more pressing need for new, clean, safe beds. We would love to continue meeting the needs of the children of Changshu, but we need your continued support to make it happen. Many thanks to all the Changshu parents who donated to this project. The children's smiles belong to you!

2002 Project

Changsu is located in Jiangsu Province, China, which is considered to be one of the "four furnaces of China" in the summer. When the director of the Changshu orphanage requested an air conditioner, we understood immediately and pledged to fulfill the request. In late January, 2002, Homeland Children's foundation was able to provide an industrial size unit to the orphanage staff. The conditioner is a combination cooling heating unit, so it will provide heat in the winter as well as air conditioning in the summer. Many thanks to all our contributors, and to the special group of Changshu adoptive alumni parents who gave generously from their hearts to make this happen!
