TK Survives to Win 2007-08 NYCONN Season Championship!
Tom Kanan, of Middletown, NY, finished the 10th and final NYCONN race of 2007-08 in last place, but still managed to take home the NYCONN Season Champion trophy. TK won his 2nd straight NYCONN Championship (and 4th overall) by a mere 5 points, the narrowest possible margin without going to tiebreakers, over runner-up Eric Peterson. Benny Leyro made a blazing run to third in the final tables by taking three straight red ribbons. Fourth and Fifth place trophies also were separated by the narrowest possible margin, when Clark Howell (4th) and Mustard Counts (5th) both suffered mechanical setbacks in the finale. Rick Carter took home the remaining trophy, just 5 points ahead of Tom Bussmann.

Three-peat for Hayes!
Rob Hayes made it a perfect three-for-three with his last minute pass of Rudy Rowson to win the NYCONN Season Finale Modified H.O. race in Middletown, N.Y. Hayes' G3-R has won every race he's entered this season. Tom Kanan entered the event with the points lead, but dropped out early due to mechanical difficulties, leaving the door wide open for series challengers Eric Peterson and Benny Leyro, who finished 3rd and 2nd respectively in the race.
