WHAT IS CUB SCOUTING?

|
Cub Scouting is for boys in grades 1st through 5th.
These boys will be divided into a Den by their grade.
Grade 1 would be a Tiger. Grade 2 would be a Wolf. Grade 3 would be a Bear.
Grade 4 would be a Webelo 1. Grade 5 would be a Webelo 2.
THE DEN
The Den would meet weekly. DEN MEETINGS ARE FUN!
The Leader and Assistant Leader for this Den will be trained in Youth Protection, Basic Leader Training and any training that would be necessary for their Den.
The Scout will learn new things, make crafts, sing songs or skits.
THE PACK
The Pack would be all of these Dens coming together as one!
The Pack meeting is held once a month.
The Scouts would receive the beads or pins in which they have been working on.
The Pack meeting will have a flag ceremony, the awards, a game and skits or songs!
Niles Pack 135 Pack Meeting is held on the third Wed. of each month, starting at 6:30 p.m.

WHAT A NEW SCOUT WILL NEED

THE CLASS A
Scouts in Grades 1 through 3 will need a "BLUE" Class A.
We suggest you purchase one that is short sleeved.
We suggest you purchase one that is large, for he can wear this shirt till 5th grade. Normally, in 4th grade, the Webelo's change to the tan Class A.
Many families continue their Cub Scouting years in the BLUE Class A.
Scouts in Grades 4 through 5 will need a "TAN" Class A.
We suggest you purchase one that is large, for he can wear this same Class A into Boy Scouting.
(Some patches would need to be removed.)
