Sorry for the long delay since the last update. Work has been stressful, my hard drive crashed in November, I had a hell of a time connecting to my FTP space after that plus I've been a little lazy. Enough excuses! I'll make it up with several new goodies. New to this update are an FAQ regarding serial numbers plus photos of a late Pro 700 built for Audio Analyst in Canada, a prototype 6000 Series Two Audio Delay with two space front panel and a prototype 450 Series Two amplifier. The 6000 Series Two was the first prototype with Series Two styling and this one is smaller than the production model. The 450 is basically a 300 Series Two with twice as many output transistors and a bigger power supply. It evolved into the Pro Series A60 with 225 watts/channel. I've added a note at the bottom about keeping emails short. As much as I'd like to hear every detail of the equipment you've owned since the 70's, I get far too many emails to spend much time reading and replying to them. There are ten's of thousands of Phase Linear owners but only one of me! Thanks. My name is Dean and I am the last factory trained Phase Linear Service Department technician still doing repairs and tech support. I worked at Phase Linear from 1975 through 1982 and spent six and a half years in the service department. My experience spans the Original Series (Series One), Series Two (including Pioneer built products), DRS Series (Series Three), Professional Series and Speakers. I don't claim to know everything about every Phase Linear product but I do have over 30 years of continuous service experience. I also keep in touch with several of the former engineers and technicians. My neighbor, Ed, and I repair and restore vintage Phase Linear equipment at home in our spare time. This site is dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of products manufactured by Phase Linear in Edmonds and Lynnwood, Washington from 1970 through 1982 and is not affiliated with Sunfire, Carver Corporation, Phoenix Gold, Jensen, Recoton, Audiovox or any subsequent owners of the Phase Linear trademark. Phase on!
