When 'Isreal' is made reference to, it is not a reference as to the State of Israel as a whole, Israelis in general and especially, towards those of the jewish faith.
"Israel" is a reference to the 1967 government of Israel and it's Defense Forces.
Please keep in mind, or if you were not aware, we had friends and shipmates of the Jewish faith killed and wounded in the attack, just as those of other religious denominations were.
