Q: What age groups are available?
A: Children who are going into K - 6th grade may participate in the in-house program.
A: Youth who are in 5th & 6th grade may try-out for a traveling team.
A: 7th & 8th grade Traveling teams may also become available starting 2004.
Q: Will my child play at their grade level?
A: All in-house children play with children in there own grade.
A: Traveling players will play at grade level unless MYSA rules say they are too old.
This causes problems only for players who are old for their grade.
Q: What teams are available?
A: Children in K - 6th grade play in a co-rec in-house program.
A: Youth in 5th & 6th grade can try out for a same sex traveling team.
A: 7th & 8th Grade traveling teams may be available starting in 2004.
Q: What cities do traveling teams play?
A: It all depends on what cities sign up with the MYSA.
Games could be as far as Isanti/Cambridge or as close as Fridley.
They are usually under 30 minutes away.
Q: What night will my child have practice?
A: There is no way to know. It is based on field availability & the coaches schedule.
Q: When will my child have games?
A: All in-house games are played on Saturday mornings.
A: All traveling games will be on Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
Q: How long is the season?
A: In-house games are during September & October with practices usually starting mid to late August.
A: Traveling games are September & October with the State Tournament in October.
Practices usually start mid-late August.
