From Southern Pines Intersection of US 1 and 15-501:
Take US 1 south to to highway 5. Make a right turn onto highway 5 and go approximately 2 miles until you come to Sandpit Road. Make a left onto Sandpit Road and go1mile until you come to a 4-way intersection (there will be a gas station on your left). This will be the intersection of Sandpit Road and Roseland Road. Make a right turn onto Roseland Road and go about 2 miles until you come to Rose Ridge Road. Make a left on Rose Ridge Road (there should be a church on your left just after turning) and go 1 mile until you come to Wallace Lane (on your right). Make a right turn onto Wallace Lane (it's a dirt road) and follow it until you come to a fork. Bear right and follow the road and you'll see the airfield. As you approach the grass runway turn right and you'll see the parking area, pavilion and pits.
From Pinehurst Village (Highway 5)
Take NC 2 west to Highway 5 and make a left turn onto Highway 5. Take highway 5 for 3.3 miles until you come to Sandpit Road. Make a right onto Sandpit Road and go 1 mile until you come to a 4-way intersection (there will be a gas station on your left). This will be the intersection of Sandpit Road and Roseland Road. Make a right turn onto Roseland Road and go about 2 miles until you come to Rose Ridge Road.
