The Long Awaited Deleted Scenes Stills
Studio original stills usually have this stamped on the back.
In the original opening, Dr. T never appeared in the Collins’ house. The whole Hans Conried segment and Tommy Rettig’s talking to the camera scenes were shot long after production had been completed on the film. This scene depicts a running battle between Bart and his Mother about how long he has to practice. He keeps setting the clock ahead and she keeps catching him.
This may take a while to explain. In the original shooting script, Bart drew big black eyebrows on the picture of Dr. T. Then the picture came to animated life and hypnotized Bart to the Land of Dr. T.
Dr. Terwilliger sings about his favorite note. The song starts near the safe; next to a row of books marked “DO”, “RE”…and ends up in front of the huge portrait of Dr. T. His Favorite note is “ME”. This may be the only time the huge Portrait is shown completely.
Ok, this is my favorite “find” of all. This is Mrs. Collins massaging Dr. T’s arm. The song “I will not go to Bed” or “Massage Opera” was sung at this point. BUT, what the heck is she massaging him with!? Looks like a truly Dr. Seuss type of instrument.
Even the news release on the back describes the action not seen in the released version.
This might be just another publicity photo, but the costume matches the “Massage Opera” segment, so it probably is part of the same scene
Not a rare still, but not in the film either. It’s the beginning on the love duet “One Moment Ago”
Unusual still in that the guards were never in the “plumbing world” in the final release of the film.  This is not the best copy of the picture, but it is all I could find on the net. Notice Bart in the air vent is holding the death certificate. At this point in the film Mr. Zablodowski sings “Freckle on a Pygmy” to distract the guards from finding Bart.
When Bart convinces Mr. Zabladowski to rescue his mother, they take a “back way” through the pipe wall to get to Dr. T’s headquarters through the land of the Mound Men. This sequence was used as the opening ballet in the final release version.
Before Bart and Zabladowski get separated in the land of the Mound Men.
Could be just a publicity shot, but maybe part of the long Mound Land segment.
