Classic Cars
I love old cars, mostly from the 1960's. I am not really partial to any particular make, but Fords and Chevrolet's are my favorite. I currently own a 1965 Ford Falcon station wagon. This car has been in my family since it was new, so it has more sentimental value to me than anything else. I am also a co-owner of a 1964 Ford Ranchero. My Dad, Grandpa, and I have put lots of blood, sweat, and tears into this prized piece of history. I guess you'd can call it a resto-mod, since it has custom wheels, a hard tonneau cover, and other minor modifications which are fairly unique.
Overall, it's a pretty rare Ranchero since it came from the factory with an 260 V8 engine, and a Borg Warner T-10 4 speed transmission. Other options include a padded dash and windshield washers...pretty high-tech back in those days. The engine is stock other than the cool dress up items like a Ford Motorsport air cleaner and valve covers, braided hoses, and another unique addition....a chromed generator. Yes, thats right...a generator. Gotta keep some of those old goodies. Prior to 2003 Route 66 Rendezvous, the Ranchero got an exhaust upgrade with a new stainless steel dual exhaust system along with cut-outs to really grab your attention. Here are a couple pictures of our Ranchero...

I am planning on being at the 14th Annual Route 66 Rendezvous in San Bernardino, CA. this year. If you happen to see this Ranchero cruisin' around, give us a yell. Last years event was unbelievable, and it gets bigger and better all the time. There was lots of cool cars, tons of crusin', celebrities, music and beer...all the things that makes this event spectacular. I recommend that anyone one who is a classic car/muscle car enthusiast attend this event....'cause It will blow you away!!!!

NHRA Drag Racing
This has got to be THE most exciting motorsport of all time. There aren't many places where you can see 7000+ horse, nitromethane burnin', tire smoking, ground pounding monsters than at an NHRA national event. And my favorite driver is none other than 12x Powerade Champion John Force...The absolute king of NHRA Fuel Funny Cars.
To see some pics of John Force's race

When you live in the
Pacific Northwest, there is only one NHRA national event to
attend, and that is the Prolong Northwest Nationals held at Pacific Raceway in
Kent, WA.. Click here

attended.

Racing 1/24 scale Slot Cars
Racing slot cars has got to be my most favorite hobby of all time. I have done the R/C thing which was cool, but it's really expensive. Slot cars can be enjoyed by such a variety of enthusiasts, it's unreal. Every Friday night when I race at my local track you can witness an exciting race between drivers ranging from the age of 5 to 55. It's a blast to see such a large generation gap enjoying such a great hobby. If you want to learn more, check out the Old Weird Herald. This is a really cool website for slotcar enthusiasts.
Lately, I have been spending more time at another one of my favorite local tracks, South Hill Slots. This is the venue for the Annual Seattle Slugfest aka Flat Track Worlds, an awesome event which draws racers from the West Coast, Canada, and even New Zealand!!. This was the second year I was in attendance at this event. I had a blast...I was able to witness some of the best racing on the West coast and also participate in some of this great action. I am already looking forward to the next Slugfest in June, which I am sure will be even bigger and better than years past.
Attention fellow slotcar enthusiasts!!!!! Got some cool pictures of your favorite slotcar(s)? E-mail them to me in .jpg format with a brief description along with your name and home track and I will post them into my "Slotcar gallery". If I get enough responses, I'll create a whole new page strictly dedicated to the favorite "rides" of fellow enthusiasts across the world.

Building & Racing Electric/Nitro R/C Cars
Yep...another money pit hobby, but it sure is a blast. I currently own 6 R/C vehicles...a Team Associated, TC3, Nitro TC3, RC10 B4, RC10 Worlds Edition, HPI Micro RS4, and an 1/8 scale Ofna Ultra GT. Electric r/c is fun and is great for newbies or budget challenged people, but you haven't had any real fun or excitement until you've run a Nitro car. The smell of 30% nitromethane and the sound of the big block .21 spooling up to 33,000 rpm putting out an impressive 2.5 horespower is indeed a thrill. But watch out.....If she gets away from ya and runs into anything, it's gonna cost ya some dough. Let's just say that when I walk into the local hobby shop, the employees eyes begin to sparkle and all I can hear is that dreadful kaaachinggg!! sound.

Here is a pic of my latest money magnet....my Ofna Ultra GT.
Stay tuned for some of my upcoming r/c pics!!
Collecting Hotwheels
O.K....here is one of my biggest weaknesses. I can never pass up a great deal on Hotwheels. I mostly collect Limited Editions, muscle cars, or whatever happens to tickle my fancy at that time. I am currently in the middle of customizing one of my Hotwheels...Only needs a nice coat of paint and some finishing details. Pics will be coming soon !!!
Building Models
I also dabble in model building. Some of my modeling skills usually flow to my other hobbies like Drag racing slotcars. I have been known to build slotcars out of existing model kits...truly original pieces of art. Most of the time, they don't stay in their pristine condition for very long. Usually 1/2 a race does them in, but their still a lot of fun to build.

Working on this web page
1997 to Present
I moved to the gloomy Pacific Northwest from sunny So. California due to a job opportunity with the largest aerospace company in the world. It is a pretty cool place to work, considering the weather you have to endure by living in Western Washington. It damn near rains 365 days a year around these parts...not too cool for a Southern California native. Oh well, it's only a 2.5 hour flight from Sea-Tac to So Cal. I frequently take the flight to visit family, friends, and to get some of that California sunshine baby!!
Please send me mail telling me what you think about this page. This will help me to better entertain others as well as myself. Thanks for your input!!!
