SADDLEBRED RESCUE
For whatever reason, American Saddlebred horses have been found in feed lots awaiting transport to slaughter. A few local people have become aware of this situation and have purchased some of these horses in hopes of giving them a second chance in a new home.
Due to financial limitations and limited participation, we can not save all of these horses. Of the ones that have been rescued, some had never been handled prior to their rescue and needed to be greenbroke in order to increase their chances of becoming a suitable riding horse. All are young, sound geldings with potential to become good show or pleasure mounts. In most cases, registration papers can be obtained.
We are not set up as a rescue organization. We are private citizens concerned about the future of the breed. Horses that are greenbroke and ready to go to new homes can be seen in our "WANT TO BUY" section. The purchase prices that are listed reflect the costs incurred during training. Much time, labor and love have been invested in these horses, to insure that they do not end up right back where we found them.
