Home of Stine Family Racing of Springfield, IL. This site documents our racers and their success at the track.

   We are a drag racing family.   Dad Clint raced a 69 and 70 Chevelle in the Pro and Super Pro Class but now concentrates on Tyler. Son Tyler raced Junior Dragsters for 6 years. He will be racing a big car after his 16th birthday. Mom Jenny keep the statstistics and is everybody's cheerleader and Dog Camo keeps everyone company and Suzi watches from above.

The 2008 season. We aren't racing much since we sold the junior stuff. Tyler raced Brevin's junior at Midstate in Quick 32 class. Brevin was the crew chief. They were Force/Coil of junior dragsters. Tyler qualified 3rd and took 3rd place. They make a good pair.

The 2007 season. We raced at different tracks this season. We went to Midstate and Gateway several times. On October 7, Tyler took 5th place. On October 6, Tyler took 3rd place. On September 23, Tyler won the shoot-out running a 9.059 on a 9.05 dial. On June 15, we went to Gateway. Tyler had a perfect light and was number one qualifier. On June 2, we went to Midstate with Tyler being the number one qualifier with .004 light. We lost second round when we shucked the chain. On June 1, we went to Gateway. Tyler had a perfect light and was number one qualifier. We got rained out. We raced at Coles County on Mother's day and had a great time. Tyler has a new sponsor this season - All-Pro Floor Care.

The 2006 season. Tyler finished 3rd in points at Midstate. Tyler finished in 4th place in the Valvoline Cup Other ET series. We went to Halloween Nationals on Oct 6-8. We had a great time. Tyler was runner-up on September 30. Tyler was runner-up on September 24 but broke the driven during the run. Tyler crew chiefed for Tom Hoagland at Indy for the Divison 3 finals. Tyler finished 4th on August 5, 3rd on August 12, and 3rd on August 20. Tyler finished in 3rd place on July 8. Tyler finished 3rd on June 25. Tyler finished 4th on May 21, was runner-up on May 28, and won the consolation race on May 7. Tyler finished 4th in the consolation race on April 23. Stine Siding is sponsoring the Junior Dollars race for the 8-9 class the first race of the month. The winner gets a $100 savings bond and the R/U gets a $50 savings bond. We painted his chasis neon yellow .

The 2005 season. Tyler was voted Jr Dragster Racer of the Year at Midstate. Tyler finished in 3rd place at Midstate. Good Job, Tyler!!! Tyler finished 10th in points in the Valvoline Cup ET Bracket series. Tyler had 5 2nd finishes, 4 3rd place finishes, 1 4th place finish, 1 5th place finish, 5 shoot-out wins with 4 of them being dead on, and 1 perfect light. Tyler also took a 2nd place and 5th place in the pit bike races. Tyler and Jake Johnson won the Most Original Costume contest at Halloween Nationals. They were Bo and Luke Duke with the General Lee. We raced at several tracks this season and had lots of fun.

The 2004 season. Tyler finished in 2nd place at Midstate. Good job, Tyler. Tyler had 4 1st place finishes, 2 2nd place finishes, 1 3rd place finish, 3 4th place finishes, 2 shoot-out winners, 1 1st place finish in consolation race, 2 2nd place finishes in consolation race and 1 perfect light. Tyler qualified for the NHRA Divison 3 Bracket Finals in September at Indy. Tyler went out second round at the NHRA Divison 3 Bracket Finals and ran an 8.897 on an 8.90 dial and burped it twice. The car was running too fast all day. Tyler qualified for the Eastern Conference Finals in July at Bristol. He went out second round at the Eastern Conference Finals. He ran a 8.95 on a 8.90. Tyler ran closest to his dial during first round of eliminations and received a trophy. He ran a 8.910 on a 8.91. Tyler was featured in the IHRA Drag Review magazine on page 85 of the July 3, 2004 issue. Tyler finished 7th in points in the Valvoline Cup Jr Dragster series.

The 2003 season. Tyler won the 2003 Jr Dragster Championship at MCR. Way to go, Tyler!!!! Tyler had 3 1st place finishes, 6 2nd place finishes, 4 3rd place finishes, 4 4th place finishes, 1 shoot-out win, 1 4th place Jr Quick-8 finish and 2 perfect lights. Tyler qualified for the IHRA Division 5 Bracket Finals in Cordova on October 3-5. Tyler got 5th place at the Great River Bash at Gateway on June 7. Tyler finished 17th in points in the Valvoline Cup Jr Dragster series.

The 2002 season. Tyler finishing in 3rd place in points at Mason County Raceway in his second season. Tyler had 1 1st place, 4 2nd places, 3 3rd places, 1 4th place and 2 shoot-out wins and qualified 2 times for Jr Quick 8 at MCR. Tyler took 5th place in class 3 -- 10.01 - 12.50 at the Halloween Nationals at Gateway. Tyler qualified to race at the IHRA Division 5 Bracket Finals in Cordova. Tyler had his first perfect .500 light in August.
Clint finished in 14th place in points at Mason County Raceway which was good considering he didn't race much with '70 Chevelle. Clint qualified to race at the IHRA Division 5 Bracket Finals in Cordova. The car ran a 6.97 at the end of the season.

The 2001 season. This was Tyler's first in a junior dragster. Tyler finished 6th in points at Mason County Raceway and in 5th place at Route 66 Raceway. He got 2 1st places, 2 2nd places, 1 3rd place and 3 4th places and qualified for a Jr Quick 8 Series. He, also, represented MCR at Cordova for the Summit North Central Bracket World Finals in October. He went out the second round because he went too fast. He did a great job for his first year.
Clint only did a little racing with the '69 Chevelle in the 2001 season so he could concentrate on Tyler's racing. Clint won the Shoot-Out in October. He dialed 7.02 and ran 7.022.


berry In loving memory of Berry Shearer. Berry is truly missed at Midstate.
Berry was like a grandpa to Tyler. Tyler has known him all his life. Tyler was worried about Berry at Christmas so we sent him a card just to let him know we were thinking about him. Tyler would change Berry's tires on Saturday night for racing on Sunday. If we were late getting to track on Saturday, Berry would worry about where we were. He was always flirting with the women and wanted to know why I was with Clint instead of him. We will keep Berry in our prayers.
