My passion for baking and cake decorating started as a young girl, when I would stand in my mother's kitchen and watch her pipe designs onto our homemade birthday cakes with an aluminum cylinder that had a plunger on one end. I took my first and only cake decorating class about 15 years ago. I did cakes for family and friends for a couple of years. Between working full time and having children, my cake decorating days went into hibernation for a while. Over the last several years I have concentrated my efforts on pastry, cookie and candy making. But recently my love of cake decorating has been rekindled. With the aid of the internet, books, and magazines, I have been exposed to many new styles and techniques in use today. I love the creative process, the challenge of trying to make an idea come to life, and the look of joy on the face of the recipient when you hand them that special cake. I am presently a stay at home mom to two wonderful boys, while enjoying my favorite pastime. I hope you enjoy looking
