Chapter the Third
Queen Lucy had crafted another malicious plan against the First Crew. The situation and the circumstances surrounding it were strange and confusing. The plot began with a strange new decree stating that all those who were interested in joining the illustrious Backstage Crew were to fill out an application rather than simply volunteer.
The second part was even more bewildering. Jag and Mustang, the two most musical of the First Crew, were summoned by the Royal Music Teacher and the Royal Voice Teacher to display their vocal and instrumental talents as part of the play itself. This act would render Mustang not an actor, which would be utterly forbidden by the unwritten code of the Royal Drama Kingdom, but a sort of in-between. Mustang would be a Techtor, the first of his kind in the Royal Drama Kingdom. The loss was eased, however, because of the knowledge that the play would certainly be all the better for his being in it, for the First Crew is dedicated to serving the House in any way it can. As for Jag, she was enlisted to play in the pit orchestra as the upcoming play was to be a musical. Although the intensity and focus of Jag's skill with all things percussion and Mustang's incredible vocal talent were sure to ignite the House and enhance the play, the loss would be sorely felt backstage. But, the irrepressible spirit of the noble First Crew will never be snuffed out, and let Lucy do what she may, but whether there are one or six, the First Crew shall always rule the backstage!
