This pattern was somewhat complicated for me to write. Please, if you have any questions or comments, feel free to e-mail me.

Stitches used
V-Stitch = dc, ch 1, dc
X is the amount of beginning chain. Must be divisible by 4. (Ex. 136)
Y is X ÷ 4 - 1 (Ex. 33)
In my example I used Caron Simply Soft (which is finer than other worsted weight yarns), a size G-6 hook, and cast on 136 stitches, if I remember correctly.
I do not want to give actual numbers for chains, etc. I want you to be able to use any yarn, any size hook, etc. Just figure out how many chains to start with (must be divisible by 4) and then what Y is and go. This pattern is fairly simple and I believe it will be just as easy to read and work without having to know exactly how many V-stitches and 3dc groupings there are in each row. It will be obvious. Keep in mind that there are two "points," one in the front and one in the back. This is where the increases happen in each row.
Chain X. Join with sl st in beginning chain being sure not to twist.
Rnd 1: Ch 4 (counts as 1 dc and ch 1), dc in same st (V-st made), *[ch 1, skip next ch, dc] Y times*, sk next ch, ch 1 (V-st) in next st. Repeat * to *. Sl st in ch 3 of beg ch 4 to join.
Rnd 2: sl st into next ch 1 sp, (ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc, ch 1) in same sp; *[sk next dc and ch 1 sp, and in next dc, 3dc, ch1]* (repeat until V-st of previous round); in V-st, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc, ch 1); Repeat * to * until joining at the top of beginning chain.
Rnd 3: sl st in next dc, ch 4, dc in same st (V-st made), ch 1, sk dc, in next ch 2 sp, V-st, *ch 1, sk next dc, V-st in next dc (the middle of the 3), **sk next 2 dc, V-st in next dc (the middle of the 3), ch 1, repeat from ** until next ch 2 sp (back point)*, V-st. Repeat * to * until joining.
Rnd 4: sl st into ch 1 sp; ch 3, 2 dc in same space, ch 1. 3 dc, ch 1 in each V-st ch 1 sp. In front and back points 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc, ch 1. Join.
Repeat rounds 3 and 4 until desired length is reached. Do not end.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in same st and in each dc and ch 1 space around, 2 sc in the ch 2 spaces. Join.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same st, *sk next sc, ch 1, sc* around. In points, sc, ch 1 sc. Join.
Rnd 3: ss into next ch 1 sp. (Ch 3, dc, ch 2, 2 dc in next ch 1 sp); [2 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc in each ch 1 space around]. Join and End.
Working in the beginning chains of neckline: With right side facing, join in any ch 1 sp with sl st. Working in the bottom "nubs" of the beginning chain, *sk 1 nub, 5 dc in next nub, sk 1 nub, ss* around. Join and end.
If you desire, make a long chain and ss or sc in each chain, thread through round 1 and attach pom-poms.
