It all started long before the shop acutally opened in 1997. Norm and
Joe retired from the Detroit Fire Deartment and had far too much
time on their hands (so say their wives). They each had a passion for
collecting antiques and had been doing so for many years. Their
collection had begun to overrun their homes. They needed to do
something with both their time and their antiques, thus the idea for
opening a quaint shop was born. They were both loyal to the city and
decided that Michigan Avenue would be the best spot. Located just
east of Lonyo at Central, this quaint shop offers something for
everyone. From collectibles to military items, you can find it all
right here. Norm and Joe are ready to wheel and deal! The coffee is
fresh and the parking is free so come on down to the JUNQUE SHOP
