I completed a successful 20 year run as one of America's finest Submarine Audio Engineers (I ran the Sonar Division on several nuclear powered submarines). I then earned a technical degree in audio & video productions from the Art Institute of Seattle (graduating with honors). I supported my family while attending school by performing music - as a front (lead vocalist) with a band and as a MIDI soloist. Below is my Performance Resume.

WHAT I CAN DO FOR YOUR GUESTS I perform a wide variety of musical styles from Country & Classic Rock to Easy Listening, Adult Contemporary, Show Tunes, Blues, Bluegrass, even some Kids and Standards. I'm careful to quickly determine my audience's wants and give them that and much more. My vocals range from Johnny Cash lows to Roy Orbison highs, well over three full octaves. My voice is what gets noticed first and most often with comments such as: "I can't believe you could hit that note" (both highs and lows) and "I love how your voice was perfect for the music / song and a joy to listen to." I
play excellent finger-pick, rhythm and lead guitar, both acoustic and
electric. I incorporate my guitar play in with my background
music,
or in stand alone acoustic settings. Many times I'm asked to do
both in a given event or evening. SOME BACKGROUND INFORMATION I served 20 years as a Submarine Audio Engineer. That experience has taught me to be very critical and careful with the sound I create. The MIDI background music I use is as close to live as is possible with current technology and perfectly blended with my voice and guitar. One of the biggest reasons I get re-hired is that I create a full and complete sound without being overly loud. People can enjoy my performance and still talk to each other. I am very professional, I show up on time, polished, rehearsed, and ready to put on a party - every day, and every time. I like people and it shows. I have fun in my chosen second career, as do the people around me. But I am also serious about the quality of the service I provide. I am a pleasant surprise to many who have to deal with musicians. Significant performances include: Both large and small Cruise ship's as a soloist performer, Manza Beach Resort (5-star hotel resort on Okinawa, Japan), Bite-of-Seattle, Taste-of-Tacoma, Bremerton Blackberry Festival. I can perform equally well with a complete orchestra or band or small ensemble or solo. I am registered with several major booking agency's from Seattle to Reno and recently in South East region and I take great pride in the reputation I enjoy with the people I've worked for. | After I graduated From the Art Institute of Seattle, I mastered 4 CD albums, and worked as an associate producer for a local community access television station on Bainbridge Island, Washington. I can also be found making TV commercials (both video shooting and post - production and in the audio field for original jingles and sound). I'm also known to help out with an occasional sound gig as an engineer. Occasionally I'm known to get in front of the cammera, both as an extra on movie and TV productions and on training videos as well. Below is my current engineering resume: |
