HAZWOPER TRAINING
T.R. Consulting provides several programs to aid employers in obtaining and maintaining the required level of employee training for those employees with potential exposure to hazardous chemicals in strictaccordance with the requirements of 29 CFR Part 1910.120(e). HAZWOPER courses focus on recognizing site hazards, use of personal protective equipment, safe work practices, use of engineering controls, medical surveilance, monitoring methods, site communication, site control, decontamination, emergency response, confined spaces and spill containment. The following levels of training are available:
40 HOUR HAZWOPER TRAINING
The 40 hour HAZWOPER course is designed for workers who would be exposed to chemicals above published safe exposure levels if protective measures (such as protective clothing) were not in use at a site.24 HOUR HAZWOPER
This level of initial training applies to workers who are regularly on hazardous waste operation sites which have been monitored and fully characterized as free from health hazards and where there is no expectation that an emergency could arise.16 HOUR HAZWOPER SUPPLEMENT
This supplemental training allows workers with 24 Hour HAZWOPER certifications to obtain the additional training necessary to meet the 40 hour HAZWOPER certification level.8 HOUR SUPERVISOR TRAINING
On-site managers and supervisors require addtional training on topics such as safety and health plans, hazard monitoring, respirator programs, PPE selection, spill containment and employee training requirements.

8 HOUR ANNUAL REFRESHER TRAINING
Every year, certified employees must undergo refresher training to continue their certification. This course reviews the topics of the 40 hour or 24 hour course and incidents or near incidents of the past year.

"CORRESPONDENCE" REFRESHER TRAINING
T.R. Consulting has developed a "correspondence" course for refresher training of petroleum workers and is working on modules for other industries. This course includes a detailed manual, video demonstrations and test. The course can be completed all at once or one section at a time. Employees can all take the class simultaneously as part of weekly safety meetings or one crew at a time during lulls in the work schedule due to equipment failure or weather. This allows for substantial flexibility for the employer.T.R.
