 Who
we are

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9103 is a veterans organization chartered in 1969 by the VFW National Headquarters. It consists of more than 300 members and includes a Ladies Auxiliary chapter and Pup Tent 8 of the Military Order of the Cootie. It is located in Harnett County, North Carolina, approximately 10 miles north of Fort Bragg and Pope Air Force Base. Our membership is made up completely of veterans, including a large number of retired and active duty military members.

What
we do

Post 9103 is active in the local community as well as in the veterans community. Members of both the Post and the Ladies Auxiliary visit the Fayetteville Veterans Administration Hospital to provide entertainment to hospitalized veterans, and sponsors an annual Light-A-Bike safety program for community children. We have "adopted " units from both Fort Bragg and Pope Air Force Base that have deployed overseas for contingency operations, providing them with everything from socks and stationery to treats for a Christmas party in the desert. We have also donated more than 7,000 domestic and international telephone calling cards to deploying members and their families through the VFW's Operation Uplink.

Our
facilities

The Post Home is located on more than seven acres of land off NC Highway 210 about 100 yards north of the Harnett-Cumberland County border and an equal distance south of the Ray Road intersection. It consists of a large hall, Canteen, Kitchen and Ladies Auxiliary room.

 Canteen
CanteenThe Canteen is the center of daily social activities at the Post. It is open to members seven days a week:

Monday-Wednesday -- Noon to 11 p.m.
Thursday -- 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Friday -- 11 a.m. to Midnight
Saturday -- 10 a.m. to Midnight
Sunday -- Noon to 9 p.m.
Holidays -- 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

While Harnett is a dry (no alcohol sales allowed) county, Post 9103 does have a brown-bagging license. Members are authorized to bring their own alcoholic beverages into the Canteen, where they pay for set-ups and service. Coffee and a large variety of soft drinks are also available.
Hall
Hall
The Post Home doubles as a meeting hall, bingo hall for our Monday and Friday night 7 p.m. bingo sessions (that are open to the public), and for our frequent dinners and dances.
We also rent the hall for private, organizational and unit parties.
