American White Dove Release Association Standards - AWDRA Standards
White Dove Releasee Standards of the American White Dove Release Association
1.  We love our white doves.

2.  We release our doves within 50 miles from their home loft.

3.  We release white doves that are  trained white homing pigeons, which have a homing instinct and  return safely to their loft.

4.  We release our white homing pigeons outdoors during daylight hours.

5.  We carry our white homing pigeons in safe and comfortable, well-ventilated white wicker baskets,  training baskets or pet carriers to prevent suffocation or discomfort.

6.  We dress appropriately and arrive early to conduct the white dove release.

7.  We do NOT release our white homing pigeons  at night or in inclement weather because they cannot find their way home immediately.

8.  We do NOT  release our white homing pigeons indoors to avoid  the risk of injuries to the birds.

9. We do NOT ship or sell white ring neck doves or white homing pigeons for self-release.   White ring neck doves cannot be trained to return home or fend for themselves and should not be released outdoors to avoid injuries to the birds.  White homing pigeons without proper training or supervision won't have home to go to after a self-release.   Please do not release white ring neck doves or untrained white homing pigeons.

10.   We do NOT discriminate anyone on the basis of race, religion, national origine, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.
