She was... the Whitman Republican Town Committee Dot Benner, 1915-2008
The Whitman Republican Town Committee (WRTC) consists of elected Republican townspeople and represents the interests of the Republican Party on local, state, and national levels.  The WRTC is dedicated to promoting conservative family values, electing Republican candidates to public offices, and promoting fiscal conservancy in government.  We also sponsor fund-raising activities to assist the campaign fiscal needs of Republican candidates for elected offices and non-political fund raisers for charitable purposes.  
Meetings are held the third Monday evening of every month (fourth Monday of the month when the third Monday is a holiday) at the Whitman Senior Center on Hayden Avenue, Whitman, at 7:30 P.M.  All registered Republican and unenrolled voters are welcome to attend.  Please e-mail us for any at whitmangop@hotmail.com

Thank you for helping us raise $250 for our Dorothy Benner Scholarship for Education, awarded to Nicole Affanato, a 2008 graduating senior from Whitman who will study Elementary Education at Bridgewater State College this fall, and $250 for our Lloyd E. Patriquin Memorial Scholarship, awarded to Joseph Costello, a 2008 graduating senior from Whitman who attended South Shore Regional Vo-Tech High.  KEEP DONATING FOR 2009 AND THANK YOU!!

TRI-TOWN REPUBLICAN ORGANIZATIONAL MEETINGS
The focus of the Tri-Town Republican organizational meetings held in Whitman, Abington and East Bridgewater on a quarterly basis is discuss upcoming events and elections that affect the 7th Plymouth District, and the Senatorial districts of the three towns.  Members from Abington, East Bridgewater and Whitman met in the past with other Republican officials from across the district, county and State.  The Republican Tri-Town Committee endorse and support various candidates, and encourage support and activism from others in getting those candidates for office elected.  In the past, the Tri-Town Republican Organizational Committee has endorsed such candidates as Andy Burbine, Ned Kirby, Ron Whitney and Michael Sullivan.
