THIS SIGHT IS PRIMARLY FOR THOSE ON ATKINS BECAUSE THAT IS WHERE I
HAVE DONE MOST OF MY RESEARCH. I SUPPORT ALL CARB-CONTROLLED
DIETS. CHOOSE WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU.
I have lost 110 pounds over 4 years. 30 lbs in 2000-2001 "on my own", 30 lbs on Weight Watchers Jan-May 2002, 20 lbs on the Atkins plan April 2003-Nov 2003, and 30 lbs on the South Beach Diet May 2004-Nov 2004. I have settled on the South Beach Diet as a way of life and will someday promote it more on another site, but Atkins was my first low carb love, and this site is dedicated to the Atkins way of eating.
I was a compulsive overeater for 20 years. The first week on Atkins they were gone. I truly believe that a low carb diet cures compulsive overeating. Carbs are what causes those uncontrollable cravings.
I have talked with many low carbers to research what works. I feel personally qualified because it seems I have tried most everything in my frustration from losing slowly while low carbing due to hypothyroidism. I have done long term strict induction. I have done the candida diet, the fat fast, the modified fat fast, and the yogurt fast. I believe the KISS diet is the best stall breaker that there is .
I recommend you buy Atkins New Diet Revolution book and keep a log of what you eat on www.fitday.com. It's beneficial to also consult with other low carb dieters on lowcarbfriends.com where there is a wealth of information and a chat room where low carbing is actually the main topic!
I wish you all sucess in your efforts!
